Suede is the reverse side of leather, sanded to achieve a soft and supple feel. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without harmful or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations and employs responsible water management practices during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free (chemical compound-free) water-repellent oils to protect the shoes from light rain.
